About Sangini

Sangini Cancer Care Society was founded in February 2007 by Late Dr. Anupama Negi, a renowned pediatric anaesthetist. In 2007, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and during her own treatment journey, she deeply understood the psychological and emotional distress that cancer patients endure.

Determined to extend a hand of compassion and mutual support, Dr. Anupama established Sangini. In less than four years, she successfully counseled hundreds of breast cancer patients. Her untiring and selfless service not only provided comfort but also inspired countless women to face the disease with courage and a positive outlook.

The overwhelming response from patients and their families led to the expansion of Sangini’s horizon in April 2008, with the establishment of the Sangini Breast Cancer Rehabilitation Center.

Since then, Sangini has grown into a strong community of survivors, caregivers, and volunteers — all united by the belief that no one should fight cancer alone. Through awareness drives, counseling, lymphedema management, cultural programs, and survivor meets, Sangini continues to carry forward Dr. Anupama Negi’s legacy of hope, healing, and empowerment.
